What Nike Training Club does well

Nike Training Club’s App Store listing says: “It’s where you can access industry-leading workout programming and legit coaching for free.” It adds: “Nike Members get free access to the latest strength training, conditioning, yoga, pilates, recovery and mindfulness content.”

The listing splits the content by where you train. Home workouts are “made for small spaces, travel and lack of equipment”, there are “Equipment-free workouts that build muscle”, and there are “weeks-long workout programs for the gym or home”.

Nike’s UK page says you get “more than 200 free workouts” across strength, endurance, yoga and mobility, and 4 to 6 week training plans. It says: “NTC Premium programmes, workouts and expert tips are now free for all Nike Members.” It also says: “The NTC App is free to download.”

On 19 October 2026 the App Store listing showed a 4.8 rating from 282K ratings. It says: “Nike Training Club works with Apple Health to sync workouts and record heart-rate data.” If you use the Nike Run Club app, it says your runs are “automatically recorded in your activity history”.

How Complete works

Complete starts from the goals you pick when you join. Each morning it reads your goals, your recovery and your recent load (how hard your recent sessions were on your body), and recommends what to do that day. Every workout that reaches Apple Health counts toward your score and that recommendation, in any sport.

Your recovery score comes from your HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and breathing rate against your own baseline. When it is red, today’s session turns into rest or an easy session. Your plan for the week stays the same.

You can train without a plan. Train offers a session on any day, and the Coach can suggest an easier day when your recovery is low. You decide. When you have a race, Complete writes a plan for it.

Nike Training Club says it works with Apple Health to sync workouts. If a Nike Training Club workout reaches Apple Health, it counts in Complete like any other. So you can keep doing the classes you like and have them count toward your goals alongside your runs, lifts and other sport.

A strength session from Complete, written out

This session comes from Complete’s library, so you can judge the work yourself. It is a full-body strength session that needs one pair of dumbbells: squat, hinge, push and pull. It suits a hotel gym, a garage or any week the barbell is not an option. Failure means the point where you cannot do another clean rep.

BlockWhat you do
Warm-upWorld’s greatest stretch, 4 reps per side. Then 1 set of 8 goblet squats with a light weight, to groove the pattern.
Main: 2 sets of each lift, in this orderGoblet squat, 10 reps: use the heaviest dumbbell you have, lower for 3 seconds, drive up fast, go to failure, rest 2 minutes. Romanian deadlift, 10 reps with a dumbbell in each hand: lower slowly with a flat back, choose a weight that ends the set in failure at about 10 reps, rest 2 minutes. Dumbbell row, 10 reps per side: pull to the hip with no torso heave, go to failure, rest 90 seconds. Dumbbell shoulder press, 10 reps: ribs down, press to a full lockout, go to failure, rest 90 seconds.
FinisherWalking lunge, 2 sets of 10 reps per side, dumbbells at your sides, 90 seconds rest: long, controlled steps. Then burpee broad jumps, 2 sets of 12 m, 60 seconds rest: land softly and reset quickly.
If you are new to thisStop the first set of each lift a rep or two short, and take the second set to failure. You learn where failure is.
