COMPARISON
Bevel vs WHOOP, and where Complete fits
What is the difference between Bevel and WHOOP?
Bevel is an app that turns the data from your wearable into daily recovery, sleep and strain scores. WHOOP is a membership that includes its own wearable, and its app requires that wearable. Complete is the fitness superapp: every sport counts, and you compete with your friends in all of them. It starts from your long-term goals and counts every workout toward them, so it works alongside either one.
Bevel, WHOOP and Complete at a glance
Facts about Bevel and WHOOP were checked on the date next to each source. Complete is our own app. We wouldn’t build it if we didn’t think it was the best, we train with it ourselves, and we work every day to make it better.
Complete is free to download, and logging and sharing your workouts on it stay free.

What Bevel does well
Bevel’s home page calls it “Your Connected Health Coach”. Its home page shows Strain, Sleep and Recovery scores, meal tracking under “Understand what you eat”, and a place to “Connect your health records”. It also describes Bevel Intelligence, an assistant that gives “personalized guidance and actionable advice” from your own data. Under “Works with” it shows Apple Watch, Oura, Garmin and Amazfit, and it says you can “Get started with Bevel for free today.”
BGR, writing on 27 July 2026, says Bevel “pairs with your Apple Watch”. It says the free version covers most core tracking, and that Bevel Pro “adds an AI coach and the ability to upload blood tests and health documents”.
On the US App Store, Bevel is free with in-app purchases. Bevel Pro is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and the App Store shows today’s price for your country. Packs of Bevel Intelligence credits run from $4.99 to $49.99. On 19 October 2026 the listing showed a 4.8 rating from 17K ratings.

What WHOOP does well
WHOOP’s App Store listing says it delivers “personalized Sleep, Strain, Recovery, Stress, and health insights”. It describes recovery as “measuring your heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and respiratory rate”. A Strain Target “will provide a Strain score from 0 to 21”, and WHOOP Coach lets you “Ask questions about your health & fitness”.
The same listing says: “The WHOOP app requires a WHOOP wearable.” It also says that if you are new to WHOOP, you can try both the wearable and the app free for 1 month, with terms and conditions.
WHOOP’s own pages did not load for our fetch, so the prices come from two third-party guides. TrackerVS, updated 13 May 2026, gives the US annual price as $199 for One, $239 for Peak and $359 for Life, with the device included, and says WHOOP does not sell true month-to-month plans, so billing is annual or 24-month. Man of Many, updated 25 September 2026, gives $239 a year for Peak and says the band is bundled into the membership and is not sold separately. Check whoop.com for today’s price before you buy.

Bevel vs WHOOP: where they differ
The first difference is hardware. A WHOOP membership includes the band, and the WHOOP app requires it. Bevel is software. Its home page lists several wearables it works with but does not specify whether hardware is required, and BGR describes it as pairing with an Apple Watch.
The second is what you pay for. The WHOOP yearly fee covers the band and the app. Bevel’s App Store price covers the app, and any watch or ring it reads is a separate purchase.
Both give you a daily read on recovery, sleep and strain. If that readout is the main thing you want, either can do it, and the choice comes down to whether you want a band that comes with the membership or an app for the watch or ring you already have.

Where Complete fits
Complete starts from the goals you pick when you join. Each morning it reads your goals, your recovery and your recent load (how hard your recent sessions were on your body), and recommends what to do that day. Every workout that reaches Apple Health counts toward your score and that recommendation, in any sport.
Complete scores your recovery from your HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and breathing rate against your own baseline, and it takes a week to calibrate. If you use WHOOP or Oura, Complete takes your recovery and sleep from that device. Your workouts still come in through Apple Health. When your recovery is red, today’s session turns into rest or an easy session. Your plan for the week stays the same.
You can use Complete alongside either one. Keep the WHOOP band or Bevel for the daily readout, and use Complete when you want your goals to steer what you do and all of your sport to count.
A hard session from Complete, written out
This session comes from Complete’s library, so you can judge the work yourself. It is four hard pieces on the erg of your choice. Effort is out of 10, where 10 is all you have. If your recovery is red, Complete turns the day into rest or an easy session, so a session like this one is for a day when your recovery allows it.
| Block | What you do |
|---|---|
| Warm-up | Spend 5 minutes at effort 4 out of 10 on the erg you will use for the main set. Start easy, build to moderate, and break a light sweat. |
| Main: 4 rounds | Work for 4 minutes at effort 9 out of 10, then rest for 3 minutes between rounds. Pace the first round so the last one still holds the same split. |
| Cool-down | Spend 5 minutes at effort 2 out of 10 on the same erg. Easy flush. |
| If you are new to this | Keep the effort hard but repeatable, about 8 out of 10, and take the full 3-minute rests. |
Which one to pick
| Pick Bevel if | Pick WHOOP if | Pick Complete if |
|---|---|---|
| You already wear an Apple Watch, Oura, Garmin or Amazfit and want strain, sleep and recovery scores from it | You want one membership that includes the band and the app | You want your goals to steer what you do each day |
| You want nutrition and health records in the same app as your recovery | You want a Strain Target, a stress score and WHOOP Coach | You do more than one sport and want all of it to count |
| You want to upload blood tests and health documents to Bevel Pro | You want to try the wearable and app free for a month, with terms and conditions | You want to share your workouts with friends and, if you like, compete with them |
