COMPARISON

Complete vs ROXFIT

What is the difference between ROXFIT and Complete?

ROXFIT is an app for Hyrox and hybrid racing: it tracks your race results and splits, and gives you workouts and an AI assistant. Complete does all of that and much more: it reads your own race result, shows an estimated finish time on a Hyrox plan, writes a plan that trains the stations as well as the runs, and counts every other sport you do toward the recommendation for each day. Complete is the fitness superapp: every sport counts, and you compete with your friends in all of them. Pick ROXFIT for splits compared with the whole field, following athletes live or an Android phone.

Facts about ROXFIT were checked on the date next to each source. Complete is our own app. We wouldn’t build it if we didn’t think it was the best, we train with it ourselves, and we work every day to make it better.

What ROXFIT does well

ROXFIT calls itself “The app for HYROX & Hybrid racing.” Its home page says you can browse upcoming Hyrox events, follow any athlete live, and find and link your results to compare your splits against the field. Its App Store listing adds “Detailed station-by-station breakdowns for Hyrox races.” If you want to learn from your race and compare it with the field, ROXFIT is built for that.

It is on more devices than Complete. Its home page offers downloads on the App Store and Google Play and says it syncs to Apple Watch, Garmin and Wear OS, and its App Store listing mentions Garmin Connect for automatic workout import. The App Store shows a 4.8 rating from 4.3K ratings.

The core app is free: workouts, its AI assistant HYPE, Race Goals, race tracking, results and your profile. Ultra adds race predictions, personalised pacing and Compete.

How Complete works for Hyrox

Complete starts from the goals you pick when you join, not from a race date. Each morning it reads your goals, your recovery and your recent load (how hard your recent sessions were on your body), and recommends what to do that day. Every workout that reaches Apple Health counts, and Garmin, COROS, Polar and Suunto workouts arrive through Apple Health.

When you do have a race, Complete writes a Hyrox plan that trains the stations as well as the runs, with brick sessions, where a station and a run come back to back as in the race. We think brick sessions are the best way to train for Hyrox, so we build them into Complete’s Hyrox plans. Hyrox sessions are in its library for you to run when you choose. Add your own race result and Complete reads your total time, your eight run splits, your station splits and your transition time. If it was a singles race and you are on a Hyrox plan, Progress then shows an estimated Hyrox time built from those splits, and a run breakdown that compares your last run with your first. The Hyrox Roads, the ladders of targets for the race formats and each station, move from your official results and keep your best time per station.

You can also train without a plan. Train offers a session on any day, and the Coach can suggest an easier day when your recovery is low. You decide.

A Hyrox session from Complete, written out

This Hyrox session comes from Complete’s library, so you can judge the work yourself. It is the closing three stations as one block: farmers carry (walk with a heavy weight in each hand), sandbag lunges and wall balls (squat and throw a ball at a target on the wall), with runs between. “Race weight” means the weight you would use on race day. Effort is out of 10, where 10 is all you have.

BlockWhat you do
Warm-upRow for 8 minutes at effort 3 out of 10: long, easy pulls, so you settle in before the work starts. Run 400 m at effort 3 out of 10 to open the legs up, with a few strides at the end.
Main: 2 rounds, in this orderRun 600 m at effort 6 out of 10, controlled, so your heart rate comes down before the next station. Farmers carry 100 m with race weight: tall, ribs down, short quick steps. Run 600 m, controlled. Sandbag lunges 50 m at effort 8 out of 10 with race weight: brace against the bag and drop the back knee to a soft touch on every rep. Run 600 m, controlled. Wall balls, 30 reps at effort 8 out of 10: the legs throw the ball, and you keep going unbroken as long as your form holds.
Cool-downRow for 8 minutes at effort 2 out of 10. Easy flush with long, smooth strokes and no rush.
